Title: Expansions for nonlinear systems, error estimates and convergence issues

Abstract: This talk is about solving time-dependent ODEs, related with control theory. We present methods to compute approximations of the final state of the system. In particular, we recall the classical Chen-Fliess expansion and compare it with the lesser used Magnus expansion. We also introduce a new expansion, specifically designed for applications to local control results, which yields approximations of the final state at any order in the size of the control.
