This course proposes an introduction to local Hilbert's 16th problem on a period annulus, with the perturbation theory of the centers and the double centers for quadratic planar vector fields.







1.The center conditions for a quadratic planar vector field. List of generic quadratic centers. The quadratic double centers, Impossibility of Q4, generic reversible double centers. Their phase portraits in the Poincaré disk. The geometry of the double center set. Darboux integral and associated Riemann surface. Existence of a symmetry and quotient space. The Bautin ideal at the point LV+LV.
