Software Engineering Intern - Application developer

Job description:
Red Hat is seeking a software engineering intern to contribute to the development of Red Hat's cloud-
based problem analysis and resolution platform.
This candidate will take the responsibility to build customer facing tools and services to automatically
detect, classify, and resolve problems experienced in the usage of software in Red Hat's product
portfolio.The ideal individual should be proactive, creative, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-
paced, distributed environment.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze business requirements and convert them into feasible work items

- Design and implement both front-end and back-end software and services

- Use technologies that are appropriate for the platform.

- Ensure ongoing quality of the application codebases through bug fixes, refactoring and test automation

- Collaborate with other developers across multiple departments and technology stacks for cross team
projects

Requirements:
* 1+ years web application development experience (academic experience counts)

* Experience with front-end techniques like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, cookie, session required.

* Experience with frameworks like AngularJS/Node.js/Ruby Rails desirable

* Experience with Linux or UNIX platform desirable

* Experience with OpenShift, Maven, Git, github is a plus

* Prior participation in open source software projects is a strong positive

* Good communication skills, fluent in both oral and written English
