Abstract:
Recently Web3.0 has become a hot topic in the researches of the Web. Web3.0 is expected to be the next generation of the Web after successful Web1.0 and Web2.0. This talk will argue that the Semantic Web and its linked data will provide the main technology for Web3.0. In the talk, the LarKC (Large Knowledge Collider) Project will be introduced. LarKC is a EU 7th framework project for the development of a configurable platform for Web scale reasoning with semantic data. In the talk, several case studies of the LarKC platform and others will be shown and discussed.
Biography:
Dr. Zhisheng Huang is a senior researcher of Vrije University Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is an adjunct professor of Southeast University and an adjunct professor of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. He has published more than 100 papers in international journals, conferences, and workshops. He has served as a PC member for more than 30 international conferences/workshops in the Semantic Web, agent technology, and multimedia. Dr. Huang was a co-chair of the Chinese Semantic Web Symposium 2009 and a co-chair of the 2008 international workshop on Web scale reasoning. Dr. Zhisheng Huang's home page is located at:
