Riddle Mountain waits for its solution.
It waits in solitude, without impatience,
still, or in imperceptibly slow motion.
谜山等待它的谜底。
它在等待，孤独而没有一丝不耐烦，
纹丝不动，或者动作慢得无法察觉。

It looks down to the west on Happy Valley,
one of those place-names people give so gaily.
Maintaining an impartial, calm surveillance,
Riddle Mountain waits for its solution.
它向西俯视欢乐谷，
那又是一个人们乐悠悠地给出的地名。
谜山一直在不偏不倚、冷静地监视，
等待自己的谜底。

Who posed the riddle? Is there an answer really?
The mountain among its lovely desolations
speaks in inaudibly slow motion.
We cannot hear geology, that tells us daily
to want no answer when we know the question;
to wait, in solitude, without impatience.
是谁出的谜语？真有答案吗？
山在自己可爱的荒芜间
以慢得听不见的动作言说。
我们听不见地质学，它每天都在告诉我们
知道了问题就无需答案；
要等待，孤独地、不带一丝不耐烦。
