Inter had Lacazette lined up
By Football Italia staff
It’s reported Inter had already agreed terms with Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in case they sold Mauro Icardi to Napoli.
The Partenopei made a very strong play for Icardi over the summer after losing Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus.
In the end, the offer of 60m plus bonuses was rejected and Icardi is expected to sign a new contract at San Siro.
However, Calciomercato.it claim Inter had already worked out a Plan B, agreeing terms with 25-year-old Lacazette.
The France international is valued at around 35m and last season scored 21 goals in 34 Ligue 1 appearances.
