We're looking for research assistants, engineers, or postdocs to join us and work on our project on the research and development of automatic Cantonese article reviewing system for primary school students, which is funded by Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI).
The candidates would better have a Bachelor or Master degree. Excellent undergraduate students are also under consideration. The period of recruitment will be fixed-term of one year starting from May, 2015.
Applicants should major in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering/Systems
Science/Statistics/Linguistics or a related discipline. Experience on natural
language processing, information retrieval, data mining is a plus.
[Job Description]
- Work on state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing technologies
- Implement technical details based on the solutions provided by design team
- Integrate the functional modules of built-in-house systems and the
third-party solutions
- System testing and maintenance
- Administrate team's computers including system servers and database servers
- Provide system demonstrations
- Collaborate with overseas partners
[Requirements]
- Working experience on Windows and Linux environments
- Strong programming skills on at least one of the languages in C/C++/C#/
Python/Perl/Java
- Good knowledge on algorithms design and implementation in clustering, data
mining or information retrieval
- Good communication skills as a team player and ability to work under
pressure
The candidates will be interviewed. We will provide competitive salary and allowance, up to 4w HKD/m according to experience for postdoc position as well as flexible annual leave scheme.
