Job summary
The Red Hat Quality Engineering team is looking for an intern to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will work on testing our technology, with a focus on Red Hat Virtualization. You’ll work among the brightest developers in the open source community. We’ll need you to plan tests, review their results, and report bugs back to the community.
Primary Job Responsibilities
o Work closely with developers to improve your understanding of technology subcomponents
o Create and maintain test plans and test cases; review results with the team
o Identify areas of high risk and perform manual tests
o Work on bug reporting and verification
Availability to work 3+ days per week for 6+ months
o Experience with Linux operating systems, and administering Windows servers
o Ability to work under deadline pressure, switch among multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail
o Good English written and verbal skills
Required Skills
o The following are considered a plus:
o Experience with virtualization technologies like KVM and Xen
o Involvement in the open source community and advanced knowledge of computer system architecture
o Relevant software testing experience
2. 测试开发实习生(内核)
Job Summary
The Red Hat Quality Engineering team is looking for an intern to join us in Beijing, China. You will test Linux file systems, mainly NFS, CIFS, and autofs. You'll search for, analyze, report, and track kernel defects while verifying kernel bug fixes. You will also be encouraged to get involved in upstream testing, either by contributing test cases to upstream projects or by testing upstream kernels and reporting bugs to the community.
Primary Job Responsibilities
o Write and update automatic test cases
o Carry out test cases and analyze results
o Review and test bugs
o Get involved in upstream testing
Required Skills
o Background in Linux
o Knowledge of C or shell scripting language
The following are considered a plus:
o Community experience in reporting bugs and sending patches
o Familiarity with the open source community and development model
o Knowledge of file system implementation, file system-related concepts and operation
