In this internship, you'll have an opportunity to contribute to one or more documentation projects for Symantec's Veritas-branded storage and availability management products.

This is a great opportunity to learn about emerging trends in information development and gain some hands-on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain, update, and improve the Symantec product documentation website. Publish Symantec product documentation in PDF and HTML formats.
- Plan, write, review, and validate end-user content for patch readmes and other product documentation.
- Learn and use content management principles for topic-based content development.
- Work with product teams to develop quality information products.
-  Contribute to the development of new processes and methods.

Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a communications field such as Technical Communication, English, or Journalism and/or a technical field such as Computer Science or Engineering.
- Very strong English writing skills. Strong verbal communication, teamwork, and technical skills.
- Positive, collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation.
- Ability to work successfully with geographically distributed teams.
- Interest in authoring in XML, and planning, maintaining, and delivering work using a Content Management System is a plus.
- Some knowledge of UNIX platforms is a plus.
- Some understanding of storage management, server clustering, disaster recovery, and associated enterprise database technologies is a plus.
