Position Title: CoreTech Vellum project QE Developer Intern
Team/Project Introduction:
It is about quality engineering for Adobe Core Technology organization. You will get opportunity to explore Adobe technology and solutions through working for Adobe core components/products.
Vellum (also known as TLF = Text Layout Framework) is an AS3 text layout framework with support for high-quality, typographically rich, flowable text in Flash. Vellum is built on top of the Flash Text Engine (FTE) new to Flash Player 10.
Job Description:
·Performs hands-on execution like test automation, tools development, API test writing and etc.
·Develop technical and architectural specification for automation harnesses or tools; implement automation and build test frameworks to further quality of the product.
·Produce defect reports that rigorously quantify the problem to a high degree of reproducibility.
·Participate in root cause analysis for defects and provides process improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar defects.
·High level & detailed design of test applications.
·Expand customer knowledge and contact and applies learning’s to owned functions.
·Confidently communicate and collaborates with engineering on technical issues.
·Provides team and feature status to management regularly, effectively raising issues to management.
·Work with engineers in several different countries (US, India, Germany, etc.)
Job Requirements:
·1st or 2nd year graduate student (master candidate) majoring in computer science or software engineering.
·Programming skills related to web technologies or C++ or Java.
·Be highly responsible and proactive. Be passionate in Adobe software and pursue high performance skills consistently.
·Adequate experience of Adobe software as enthusiastic end users. (highly desired)
·Strong communication skills as team player
·Good technical English skills and capable for basic verbal English communication. CET-6 or above is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
·Knowledge and experience in Object Oriented design practices
·Programming experience on Flex, Action Script, JavaScript and Python as well as Flash experiences (highly desired)
