Pine River Capital Management is a US-based multi-strategy relative value investment firm founded in 2002. Our core strategies include fixed income, global convertible bond and capital structure arbitrage. Today we have over $1.5 billion in assets under management and 80+ employees working across the world, from our Minneapolis headquarters to offices in London, Hong Kong, New York, and San Francisco. In 2009, the Nisswa Fixed Income Fund, under the Pine River umbrella, won the Absolute Return Award in the U.S. fixed income sector for medium and small hedge funds. We are in the process of opening a Beijing office dedicated to research and systems development that directly supports our trading desks across the firm. Currently we are actively looking to add one or two intern developers to build state-of-the-art quantitative trading systems covering all stages of developments from data mining, warehousing, statistical modeling, high efficiency computing, and web-based server-client applications.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain Windows client applications using Microsoft .Net Platform using C# , Visual C++ and MFC (Microsoft Framework Class)
Build GUI application using WinForm and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
Write reporting application for Traders using C#, XML and SQL
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of active programming in C#, Visual C++ on Windows platforms
Detailed knowledge of .Net platform, Win32 APls and STL
Experience with SQL, XML and database programming
Must have strong time-management skills and be able to respond to changes in scope and priority
Advanced degree in computer science/electrical engineering in a top university
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft .Net LINQ (Language Integrated Query) with C#
Experience developing and debugging multi-threaded applications
Knowledge of FTP and sockets programming
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel VBA development a plus
