本田只是放弃了clarity车型的量产，同时停产的还有这款车的插电版，（因为销量过低）但会继续研发，。丰田则没有任何这方面停产消息。
而宝马年内也宣布2022年将推出来自丰田技术的燃料电池车suv（貌似X5）。
