‘Inter paid for errors’

Inter have ‘paid dearly for our errors’ says Geoffrey Kondogbia, but ‘we must believe in finishing third.’
The Nerazzurri began the season strongly and were top of the table in January, but have since tailed off and are now eight points off Roma in third place.
Kondogbia, who arrived from Monaco for 38m last summer, believes they have ‘everything to win the title’ but rues their mistakes.
“Champions League? Mathematically it’s not over yet and we must continue to believe in our chance of finishing third,” the Frenchman told Corriere dello Sport.
“It’s a shame to have left points on the road that we shouldn’t have lost: we’ve paid dearly for our errors.
“France squad? I was injured for the last two friendlies, but I don’t know if that’s the reason for not being called up.
“It’s not a problem to not be called up when I know I don’t deserve it. And for the moment I’ve not done enough to go to the Euros.
“Next season? When I look at our squad I can see that nothing is missing to win the title. We have strength, quality and a great group of youngsters. Maybe we need a little bit more experience and shrewdness.
“Juve for the Scudetto? You never know in football, but they have a good advantage.
“How important is training? For me it’s everything. It makes you grow and allows you to become one of the best.
“It’s fundamental to work to improve yourself and never be demoralised, not even in the difficult moments.”
